I picked this book up, because I wanted to read it before watching the movie and I am glad I did. The book took me on a 800 pages rollercoaster. First I was confused, didn't know what was going on, since there are some weird names in this book, for the aliens who are invading the earth, so it takes a while to get what is going on, but when you do it turns out to be brilliant book. I loved the connection made between Wanda (Alien) and her host Melanie. There are so many bonds made in this book between humans and alien/human. I think Meyer did an amazing job and as being the longest book I've ever read it took me about two weeks. I only put it down to sleep or actually do things that had to be done.
Read this book but give it time, don't give up within the first few chapters and don't worry it will all make sense a few chapters in :)
